this post is old and i’m sure a lot of other people have added this by now but tumblr’s built-in blacklist feature, which is the only option for mobile users, does not work if you tag as anything other than #trigger. this was implemented quite a while ago, at least a couple of years if i had to guess, but to this day i still get people tagging things as “#needles ///” or something which does not help my blacklist catch it at all. i understand not wanting to compile an actual tag on your blog of triggering content but really if you’re doing all this just to avoid that you may as well not be tagging anything at all
just to add on- #trigger tw still works as well. I have a lot of stuff blacklisted with that on mobile and it still works. you just have to actually tag it #trigger tw and block it as #trigger tw but it does still very much work. I also see a lot of things like #trigger mention for things that aren’t necessarily triggering themselves but mention the trigger in any way bc this helps the person blacklisting decide what amount of content they are up to being exposed to.
